It was my first time to visit Decorex at Syon Park and it didn’t disappoint, I met with a few existing clients but also had some great conversations with potential new ones. I’ve also chosen four stands that really shone to me to show you today, enjoy!.
As you may know I absolutely love danish furniture (and beautiful wovens!) and combined with the type of designs that I am working on at the moment, the ‘A Rum Fellow’ stand immediately stood out to me, and I was pleased to find that their website is even more stunning. They source their gorgeous homewares products from all over the world with their first collection being inspired by Peru & Bolivia and their most recent from handworked Guatemalan fabrics. They combine the work of skilled weavers with fine furniture produced in the UK. You can view their ranges & their amazing lifestyle photographs here.
One thing that struck me about this show was the amount of rug exhibitors and how far the technology has come these days. They are becoming far more deeply textured and the combination and quality of different yarns is clearly developing. Stepevi is one of the most pioneering rug companies around and their latest collections are absolutely stunning in terms of surface pattern, colour and all round plushness!. They have rug boutiques in London, Paris, Milan, Istanbul, New York, Dubai and many other major cities throughout the world.
You may have already seen the most recent print collections from Black Edition but I couldn’t not mention them as they are just so dam beautiful! . They are bang on trend in terms of season & the dark floral look that has been predicted, not to mention how well they are digitally printed on to velvet. Note to self, digitals can work really well with watercolours! .
Last but not least is one of my all time favourite fabric & wallpaper houses, Elitis. I think these images speak for themselves, all I have to say is yum!!.
